Plans for this year

We don’t get could up trying to explain to people what our music is. It is aimed to be heard and to be felt. We also like that fast traditional music, on a instrumentation level, it’s really cool. We like dancing and having fun. South Africa is a dancing nation. We think that defining who we are as Musicians we must run away from that, the plan is to create good music.

That’s what happens when you’re pioneering a sound that is so unique it doesn’t fall into any category that already exists. It started of when we all realised that we share the same passion for music and recognised one anthers talents.

 Plans for this year

We like keeping things simple. We want make sure that our music still becomes a bigger and better experience, still focusing on the  first Album, most importantly, expose ourselves to other parts of Africa and grow the brand by continuing to make music the South Africans loves to hear.

We want to penetrate the regional market and accomplish selling out to the rest of Africa, a feature that’s never been done before. The grind is more real than ever before.

Our opinion on Hip Hop

PicsArt_2015-08-19 15_07_53

What is your opinion on the state of hiphop at the moment?

We think the South African hiphop industry is very interesting. We had pretty cool encounters with positive artists who are working tirelessly to release good records. We also admire the work that has been going into the production of songs .

What we’ve been seeing and hearing is a very high standard of music production.

The Come Up

The come-up has always been one crucial stage in any artists journey. Some start off as fire-spitters and quickly (sometimes too quickly) grap the attention of the masses; others find themselves along the way, picking up jewels and learning from failures. Either way, it’s really important to keep an ear on the streets to find out who’s next to go to the big leagues. Check out this edition’s pick of hip hop artists on the come-up who we think you should not sleep on.

Releases

The inspirational story(mixtape), Positive vibes only(mixtape). Having started his music career all the way back in 2011, so far this Dj/Producer are steadily building up the hype, and so far so good. In 2016 KSD managed to perform with an A-list line-up of South African hiphop Dj’s and performers at the block avenue. KSD is really on the way up fast, and if the earlier KSD records haven’t convinced you yet, then believe us when we say his the one to look for.

Sound

Really wavey with their sound, KSD brought something very different from what our culture usually gets to hear. The Mixtape is great (Positive vibes only), We definitely commend his pursuit to bring some variety in the game. Now watch the rise.

Now here’s a man who has been consistent with the music. With their latest mixtape( Positive Vibes) out now, its quit clear that something is bubbling from the rappers and we should all be ready to witness the glory coming up very soon.

Did you  anticipate that you would have such a unique voice in the streets?

I had hope for positive results to actually see a change in our music status, but you can’t really foresee how it’s going to happen, because you don’t know whats going to happen. So actually just seeing us pop off was a pleasant surprise to everyone around me, and every time someone tweets saying “Positive vibes only” is a jam it makes me happy. It’s something we couldn’t have said would happen, but of course we knew and its really nice to hear other peoples reactions.

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO WE CREATE

InstagramCapture_afa6e8c6-c2d7-48fd-9996-055fc2a1c7b8_jpg

We call it street Music. We paint a picture of street life, we tell stories that we witness from the streets, we share tears, we build and give you all the deleted scenes. This music is inspired by our surroundings.

We are glad to be a part of a revolutionary era in the South African music industry. Hip hop, House and Rn’B has come a long way and we are all out here trying to make a mark and be remembered for our individual input. The likes of Amu ,skwatta kamp, mafikizolo just to mention a few have paved the way for us and I think it’s important that we unite and be selfless and lay a solid foundation for future generations to not experience our hardships.

We make music hoping people will appreciate it. We want to position ourselves in people’s hearts. No limits.

We plan to appeal to a broad market as possible. It would be amazing to have people from many different backgrounds and walks of life relating to and enjoying what we do. We just want to keep making innovative, relatable music and grow from there.

A New great controversial female

IMG-20160406-WA0000

A New great controversial female artist by the name of Madu partners with KSD Music Productions. She is strong minded and believes that sensitivity gets you nowhere. She is able to move the crowed and she’s able to relay her writhing well. Basically she is a complete package. She has charisma, presence, articulation and for the most, a good lyricist. It’s something that comes naturally and she is one of the most humble rappers you can meet and has a really accessible style. A great blend of ambition and  very political. She’s constant in her approach and delivery and goes an extra mile to always put on a great song.

Her new single is out Titled- “In Madu We trust”. The result is a song which crackles with righteous anger, and the darkest of humor metaphors. This song itself can help trigger positive changes and it’s something we’ve never heard before which will make a huge difference in the game.
